Tax Refund is gone already

I obliterated my tax refund. I've got a lot to show for it. Unfortunately, a full bank account and self-control are two things I now lack. These are the last brand new items I'm going to be buying for a while. I need to get the spending in check and I'd like to see what I can get my hands on by thrifting more often. The journey begins...

The staple Lightweight Grey Crew Neck Sweater - Banana Republic


I've been eyeing this madras shirt from J. Crew since it showed up online. There was a waiting list a month long for an extra-small. So, I went to my local J. Crew and tried on every size small shirt they had in hopes that one would be cut abnormally slim. There was such a shirt. Score.


When it comes to thrift store ties, finding an attractive pattern isn't the problem. The problem is finding a tie 3-inches or thinner. This bad boy looks like something The Windmill Club guys would be selling.


I also found a sweet pair of Rockport brogues that are pretty well broken in. Which makes them great for everyday dicking around. A more interesting look than the chucks/sperry's that I'll be wearing the majority of the Spring/Summer.
